The short answer
Yes, you can wash a wrapped car, truck or van. Touchless car washes are fine. You can pressure wash it if you're careful, and there's no need to wax it.
Car washes
Touchless car washes are the easy choice. Car washes with spinning brushes are harder on vinyl: they can scuff the finish and catch an edge, so we'd skip those.
Washing by hand
Use a mild car wash soap, lots of water and a soft mitt or sponge, and dry it with a clean microfibre towel. Strong degreasers and solvents are hard on vinyl, so keep them for the wheels.
Pressure washing
A pressure washer is fine when you keep the nozzle back from the surface and don't aim it straight at the edges and seams. Up close, the jet can lift an edge.
Winter salt
Rinse the salt and slush off regularly through the winter, like you would with paint. The vinyl protects your paint from salt and rust, but the salt shouldn't sit on the wrap for weeks either.
Wax, polish and matte finishes
A wrap doesn't need wax. On a matte or satin wrap, don't use wax or polish at all: they leave shiny patches on the finish.
Spots to clean off quickly
Bird droppings, tree sap and bug splatter are best cleaned off soon, before the sun bakes them in. If an edge or a corner ever starts to lift, bring the vehicle in early: a small fix is quick.
