The short answer
A decal kit takes a day. A partial wrap takes one or two days. A full colour change takes three to four days, and sometimes five on a bigger vehicle. Most tankers and 53 ft trailers take a day to a day and a half.
| In our shop | |
|---|---|
| Decal kit | 1 day |
| Partial wrap | 1–2 days |
| Full colour change | 3–4 days, sometimes 5 |
| Tanker | 1–1½ days |
| 53 ft trailer | 1–1½ days |
Before the install
The design comes first. We send you a proof, and once it's approved and booked we take a 50% deposit, order the materials and print anything that's printed. You don't need to bring the vehicle in until it's time to install, so it stays on the road while we prepare.
What takes the time
Every vehicle is cleaned and prepped before the vinyl goes on, so it sticks properly. A colour change takes longest because every panel is covered, including door edges, bumpers and mirrors, and the trim is taken off and put back where needed. Old decals or an old wrap that has to come off first add time.
Fleets
For a fleet, the time per vehicle is the same. Most fleets bring one or two vehicles at a time and swap them for the next ones as they're finished, so only a few are off the road at once. Our mobile van can also install decal kits at your location.
Picking it up
We check every vehicle before it leaves: it doesn't leave our bay until it's right. The rest of the payment is due at pickup, and larger fleets get 30 days to pay. Every wrap comes with a six-month warranty.
