What coroplast is
Coroplast is corrugated plastic: two thin plastic sheets with ribs in between, a bit like cardboard but waterproof. It's light, it doesn't rot, and it takes a printed graphic well.
Common sizes
18 by 24 inches is the usual lawn sign. 24 by 36 inches is common for job site and directional signs. Larger signs go up to a full 4 by 8 foot sheet. We can cut other sizes and shapes too.
Most small signs are 4 mm thick. Bigger signs, or signs that have to stand up to more wind, are made thicker.
What it's good for
Lawn signs and signs for real estate, contractors and events. Job site signs and directional signs. Opening and sale signs. And jobs like the bollard covers we made for the new MacEwen Quickie station.
How it's installed
Small signs usually go in the ground on wire H-stakes that slide into the ribs. Larger ones are screwed or zip-tied to a fence, a frame or posts. We can install them for you.
When to choose something sturdier
Coroplast is made for short- and medium-term use. For a sign that has to look good outdoors for years, like a building or entrance sign, a rigid aluminum sign is the better choice. Tell us where the sign is going and for how long, and we'll suggest the right material.
How long it takes
Signs can be ready in as little as a week, and rush jobs are possible. Design is included.
